Java Pop3 Email Proxy – added 6/20/2002

The Java POP3 Email Proxy will download mail from a POP3 based account and store it locally, based on the person it was addressed to. When an individual connects to the proxy to retreive email, it will return only their mail. Will run on any Java platform.

Hotmail Popper – added 10/18/2003

Hotmail Popper is a small application that allows you to check your Hotmail account e-mail from a normal POP mail client (such as Eudora). Unlike standard mail accounts which allow users to retrieve their e-mail through a POP mail client, Hotmail can normally only be checked on the web, or via Outlook Express. With Hotmail Popper, you can use your favorite POP mail client to retrieve your e-mail from your Hotmail account.

Poppy – added 4/2/2004

Poppy is a small e-mail notification utility that can check multiple POP3 accounts for new mail. It will display an icon in the taskbar notification area and this icon will change whenever new mail is waiting. It can also optionally play a sound or display a small popup window.

POPFile – added 9/6/2003

POPFile is an email classification system, that automatically sorts your messages and fights spam. It acts as a proxy between your email program and the mail server, scanning all incoming mail and then marks the mail according to your settings.
