CAD graphing

Digi Graph – added 2/1/2007

Graph paper is great for doing graphical work on. Digi Graph is digital graph paper, allowing you to draw on graph paper on screen, and save and print your drawings.

BlockCAD – added 12/5/2006

BlockCAD is a freeware program for building virtual models with Lego-like bricks. You can save your models, or save pictures of them (.bmp, .jpg), even reuse a complete model as a part in another model. BlockCAD is not a full CAD program, the pieces can only be placed ’studs up’, and rotated in steps of 90 degrees. It is impossible to draw pieces that are partly inside other parts, which excludes almost all of the Lego Technic line, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had with it.

Archim – added 6/15/2006

Archim is a program for drawing the graphs of all kinds of functions. You can define a graph explicitly and parametrically, in polar and spherical coordinates, on a plane and in space (surface). Archim will be useful for teachers and students, as well as for everyone who is interested min geometry. With Archim, you will draw the graph of any function and form, just use your imagination.

ZGrapher – added 5/19/2006

ZGrapher is an awards winning graphing and calculating software. With ZGrapher you can create and explore graphs of y(x), x(y), polar, parametric and table defined functions. All your graphs and coordinate space may be fully customized. You can place your comments using labels and legend.

Minos – added 4/19/2006

Minos is a 3D solid CAD modeling software that extends the capabilities of your existing 2D-or 3D-wireframe-based systems, so you can take advantage of all the benefits solid modeling offers right away and makes it easy to design 3D parts and assemblies. You can combine the 3D shapes you create with standard primitive shapes like boxes, cylinders, and cones to form more complex geometry. Basic shape building and editing operations include cut, fuse, and common. With just a few simple commands, Minos lets you create parts using shapes, and build complete assemblies using multiple parts.

ACD/ChemSketch – added 4/5/2006

Chemsketch is an all-purpose chemical drawing and graphics software. Use templates or free-hand. Click and draw molecules, ions, stereobonds, text, polygons, arrows, lab aparatus, etc. Automatic calculation of MW and formula. See estimates of density, refractive index, molar volume, etc.
