EasyGPS is the fast and easy way to transfer waypoints, routes, and tracks between your computer and your Garmin, Magellan, or Lowrance GPS. EasyGPS lists all of your waypoints on the left side of the screen, and shows a plot of your GPS data on the right. Satellite Finder – added 7/18/2005

Satellite Finder is a way to accurately point satellite dishes at communications satellites in geostationary orbit. Simply choose a state and city, or a ZIP code, or enter a geographic position, and Satellite Finder will create a list of satellite positions for that location. Satellite Finder includes a list of all US ZIP codes and their geographical positions. You may access this database by entering a state and city name or a ZIP code.


ArcExplorer – added 7/3/2005

ArcExplorer is a lightweight GIS data viewer developed by ESRI. This software offers an easy way to perform a variety of basic GIS functions, including display, query, and data retrieval applications. It can be used on its own with local data sets or as a client to Internet data and map servers.

Commonly referred to as GRASS, this is a Geographic Information System (GIS) used for geospatial data management and analysis, image processing, graphics/maps production, spatial modeling, and visualization. GRASS is currently used in academic and commercial settings around the world, as well as by many governmental agencies and environmental consulting companies. It also has a topological 2D/3D vector engine and support for vector network analysis.

GeoVisu is a software that displays georeferenced data (images, graphics) and it allows data download from GPS. GeoVisu has a “Moving map” navigation function, which can be used with all GPS NMEA 0183 compatibles.
