Volumouse provides you a quick and easy way to control the sound volume on your system – simply by rolling the wheel of your wheel mouse. It allows you to define a set of rules for determining when the wheel will be used for changing the sound volume. Close All Windows helps you to close all running applications with one click. It does not use system resources because it only flashes a â€˜closeâ€™ signal to all open windows on the desktop and then ceases. Just place a shortcut to the tool in the Start Menu, Quick Launch or elsewhere. You can always add a hotkey to this shortcut. It is really very handy if you are running ~20 applications and want them all to quit instantly. It works just as if you were pressing the close button for each application.

Snap makes a window (Explorer windows for instance) snap to the edge of other windows or to the screen edge when it is moved close to it. It’s like the magnet effect of WinAMP, but for all open Windows. It installs a global hook dll (SnapH.dll) into the windows message queue, which recognizes the move event of a window. If the new window position is close to another window or the screen edge it recalculates the position in order to make it fit directly next to the edge of the other window or the screen edge.

ScreenOff – added 10/25/2006
ScreenOff is a “boss screen”. When run, it blanks the screen, so that it appears turned off, and it exits if you click the mouse. A good idea would be to create a shortcut to it, assign a hotkey to the shortcut, and stick a piece of painted scotch tape on the screen LED. That way, when you activate ScreenOff, nobody will be able to tell it’s on, so stop turning the monitor on and off all the time when the boss comes in just to show that you are working instead of playing solitaire :)
