Auto Window Manager – added 8/18/2006

Auto Window Manager automatically manages any window you specify. For instance, some web browsers open up in a non-maximized window. Using Auto Window Manager,you can set those windows to automatically maximize (minimize, normal, minimize to tray, stay on top) every time they opened. It works with almost any program, including web browsers, Notepad, etc. Auto Window Manager stays running in the system tray, so it stays out of your way while it works.

Xpadder – added 8/16/2006

Xpadder simulates keypresses and mouse movements using a gamepad. Use your controller to play: PC games with poor/no joystick support, DOS games in a Windows DOS box, non-PC emulated games and more, all with full keyboard and mouse emulation!

WinSpy lets you spy upon running applications, their child windows and controls like buttons, edit boxes and list boxes. You can use WinSpy to find out what applications are running on your system and hide/unhide them, create new windows/controls, destroy existing controls, change the text, styles, visiblity and size of controls, maximize, minimize and do almost anything with every open window on your system!

Chaos Crystal – added 7/27/2006

Chaos Crystal allows you to set transparent windows of any program running in Windows 2000 or XP. This program does not currently work for Windows 98 and below. The ability to set transparent windows can allow you to be more productive with numerous windows open at once, even on a smaller display.

Quick Folders – added 7/14/2006

Quick Folders is a useful tool for quick access to your favorite and recent folders. With Quick Folders, you do not need to expand the same multi-level folders structure each time to reach your files. All you need is to add new items in a list of your favorite folders, like you do in your browser.

Manage any program on your computer with radial menus(and pull- down menus) that can be called with a mouse button, mouse combinations(rocket gestures) or hotkey. It’s a little like gestures, but a menu it’s shown around the mouse.

Netjaxer is an easy way to integrate your favorite web apps, such as Google Calendar and Gmail, into your Windows OS. Just create a desktop or quick launch icon, then load any web page when Windows starts and run it as a tray icon for qucik launch access.

gvwm provides grid of virtual desktops for Windows, allowing the user’s workspace to be larger than the screen area. The practical upshot is that you can have several “desktops”, allowing you to sort your windows and have a less cluttered workspace.

DateInTray – added 3/14/2006

DateInTray is a small freeware utility that displays the date in the Windows tray. The day of the month is displayed in the DateInTray icon, and the entire date can be seen in a tooltip popup by holding the mouse cursor over the icon. A useful popup calendar can be brought up by clicking on the DateInTray icon. This easily accessable calendar popup is very useful when you need to quickly reference a calendar. DateInTray can be easily added to the Startup folder in the programs menu so that it automatically starts every time you log in.
