Text Magician – added 12/4/2005

With Text Magician you can edit text files the easy way. Join or split files while adding, deleting or replacing text, change to upper or lower case, capitalise all words or the start of all lines, add text to the start or end of lines, remove leading or trailing spaces, add or remove blank lines, remove text blocks, alphabetise lines in file(s), split files at specified lines or text or into a specified number of files, works on multiple files and on files of unlimited size.


Smart Buster – added 11/28/2005

Smart Buster combines many functions such as an uninstaller, task manager, file splitter, diskspace manager, secure file deletion, startup manager, clean junk files, duplicate file find utility, and disk format utilty.

Replacer – added 11/16/2005
Replacer works as an easy to use system file replacer for Windows 2K/XP. It safely replaces protected or in-use system files. Replacer uses a combination of scripts to replace a protected system file, without disturbing the user. After the system and replacement files have been specified, a backup is created.


JanusNode – added 11/8/2005

A JanusNode allows for a user-configurable dynamic textual projective surface- that is, a generator of random texts. JanusNodes contain tools for creating new texts, using a simple rule-based text-generation language, and for morphing old texts, using Markov chains or more random methods.


ReNamer – added 7/2/2005

ReNamer provides a small, yet very flexible file renaming tool, that offers all the standard renaming procedures, including prefixes, suffixes, replacements, case changes; it can also remove brackets, add number sequences, remove digits or symbols and change file extensions. The program allows you to combine multiple renaming actions as a rule set, applying each action in logical sequence, which can be saved, loaded and managed within the program. In addition, ReNamer supports Meta Tags, such as: ID3v1, ID3v2, EXIF; and has an ability to rename Folders.


FingerPrint – added 7/4/2005

FingerPrint works as a file change detection utility to see if any files in one or more directories have been created, deleted, or changed since the last scan. It’s useful for checking if a program, e.g. viruses and trojans, has changed your all-important Windows files (this is similar to such security software as Tripwire). The use of MD5 checksums guarantee detection of file changes. FingerPrint can also be used to find duplicate files, search for files with a specific MD5 value, and save MD5 values to file (and compare with). A command line version is also included.


Piky Basket – added 7/3/2005

Piky Basket was created to save your time and effort when working with files and folders in Windows. With Piky Basket, you can reduce repetitive tasks when copying/moving files and folders in Windows. Piky Basket allows you to select files/folders in to a “basket” from different locations. Once you are done selecting, you can paste them all at once to the target folders. It also allows you to selectively paste the files to the target folder.


Lupas Rename – added 7/2/2005

Lupas Rename was developed to rename a large number of files. It works on Win95, Win98, WinME, WinNT, Win2K and WinXP. It is a simple .EXE file and doesn’t need any other external libraries.


Xtrimsoft PackIt – added 6/30/2005

Xtrimsoft PackIt finds duplicate files on your hard drives and/or network storage media (e.g. server drives, CD-ROMs etc.) using user-definable matching scheme, from partial to full match and byte-for-byte to CRC32 compare.


Clone Spy – added 6/16/2005

Clone Spy provides a duplicate file cleanup tool for Windows whose features include: exclude files or file patterns from a scan, case sensitive file name comparisons, advanced log file options, presentation of all duplicates at the end of a scan, presentation of duplicates together in one large list , lockable pools for faster scans if the content of a pool is used more than once, search for same-name files with same size or approximately same size , file deletion decision based on length of file names, export duplicates as list to a text file, defer handling of duplicate files to a batch file in order to apply arbitrary file operations.


TextExtract – added 6/11/2005

TextExtract – a small but powerful program that scans one or more files for text strings, extracts them and saves them into a separate file. Useful if, say, you have a corrupted word processor file, or if you just want to see what text, if any, is inside a file. Configurable extraction. Lovely interface. Very straightforward to use. TextExtract is free to use from its GUI (ie. the buttons and that) and shareware if you use it from its command-line interface.
