OleClean works as a registry cleaner that searches your registry for stray OLE entries and deletes them. It makes a back-up reg file but use with caution.

EMCO Software has created a simple and useful tool known as EMCO Remote Registry Exporter; not only for large scale networks but also for small home networks. It helps you to monitor different registry keys and their values on not just a single machine rather for different machines on your network.

TweakNow RegCleaner – added 5/11/2005

TweakNow RegCleaner accurately identifies obsolete entries and removes them from the system registry. It automatically creates backup files before deleting obsolete entries from your registry.

MSConfig CleanUp – added 4/14/2005

MSConfig Cleanup includes a basic startup manager, which allows you to enable/disable auto-start programs from MSConfig. It does not however allow you to completely remove an entry from the list.

RegScrubXP – added 4/16/2005

RegScrubXP safely cleans junk out of the Windows XP/2000 System Registry, making it smaller and faster to access. All changes made to the Registry are fully restorable to it’s original condition.

Erunt – added 4/27/2004

Erunt allows for registry backup and restore for Windows NT/2000/XP. Backup the registry, as well as providing an auto-backup capability, for example at Windows startup. Or, before installing a new program for testing purposes one could save the registry with Erunt, install and test the program, uninstall it and restore the registry to be 100% sure that no debris is left from the program.

NTRegOpt – added 8/25/2003

NTRegOpt works as a registry compactor that improves system performance by compacting the registry, removing any slack space that may be left from previously modified or deleted keys. The program does not modify any registry entries, so it is safe to use. Also supports commandline switches for unattended runs.
