Keep your PC running faster, cleaner, and error-free with Startup-Mechanic. Startup-Mechanic will scan your system for known data mining, advertising, and tracking components, and rid your system of these tracking components, allowing you to maintain a higher degree of privacy while you surf the Web. Startup-Mechanic will hunt down and remove junk and obsolete programs running, freeing up RAM and significantly increasing your system performance

Autostart Viewer – added 1/23/2005

Autostart Viewer allows you to see every autostart on your system, all on the one screen. In addition, it gives you complete control over the autostart references, and allows you to modify or delete them at will.

GAG – added 11/17/2004

GAG provides a boot manager program. It’s loaded when the computer is turned on and allows you to choose the operating system you want to use.

Restart – added 7/16/2005

Restart is a system utility for advanced users with more than one operating system installed on their machine. The program installs an icon in the notification area, and with a single click the computer will shutdown and restart with the selected operating system. The program also includes commands to shutdown the computer in different ways (including stand-by and hibernate), a schedule function, and advanced settings for uncommon configurations.

Startup Delayer – added 9/10/2005

When Windows loads it’s Startup file, it attempts to load every program in there at the same time. Therefore if you have quite a lot of programs starting when Windows starts, each program will try and grab CPU time so that it can load. Startup Delayer allows you to setup how many seconds after Windows has started, to load each program.

WheresJames Startup Manager – added 8/8/2005

There are several programs running on your computer right now doing nothing useful. Just hogging precious memory and CPU cycles. WheresJames Startup Manager will allow you to view the programs that start with Windows and disable or delete them if you like.

Delayer – added 10/8/2003

Delay, repeat, and schedule the execution of programs. Primarily this is used for programs in the StartUp group (which Windows runs automatically when starting) which don’t operate properly if executed immediately, or multiple programs that need delays between them. Other use examples include: ping your ISP occasionally to keep it from disconnecting, periodically check E-mail, run diagnostics, etc.
