SciTE – added 12/11/2004

SciTE is a SCIntilla based Text Editor. Originally built to demonstrate Scintilla, it has grown to be a generally useful editor with facilities for building and running programs. It is extremly customizable and can be made to support external tools, MDI tabbed GUI.

Simredo – added 11/22/2004

Simredo is an Unicode text editor, written in Java. It can convert over 100 encodings to and from Unicode (UTF-8 and big and little endian UTF-16), and includes support for Esperanto and right-to-left scripts. Simredo can also re-map the keyboard, to allow typing in unusual scripts, and has a character map from which selected characters can be copied to the document (using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V).
